FORBES top 10 list of DJs: NO WOMEN

Forbes has released its annual Electronic Cash Kings list

of the top-earning EDM DJs.

Calvin Harris ranks the highest, at number one; followed by Tiesto at second and David Guetta at third.  The highest earning female DJ group was Nervo.  Though the girls earned $10 million from 1 June 2015 to 1 June 2016, they didn’t crack the lists top 10.

Ryan Mac, who helped compile the list for Forbes, said: “We’ve never had a woman actually crack the rankings ever and I think this is the fourth time we have compiled it.”

Vegas residencies and headlining top music festivals is something the top guys all have in common.  This was only the first year a female artist headlined solo at Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas (Anna Lunoe and Alison Wonderland) and only Krewella and Nervo have residencies at Vegas clubs.  Its evident the girl squad will continue to trail the top earning guys until promoters start booking more females.

But congratulations to NERVO for all their hard work and coming in as the top ladies!
