Get Yourself Dressed 2With a background in fashion design, after attending Rainbow Serpent festival five years ago and feeling inspired by the creative community she encountered, Baker began taking orders from friends who were obsessed with her knack for putting together original and fabulous outfits. Demand soon outweighed supply and it wasn’t long before her newfound hobby would officially launch in early 2017. Influenced by the fiery, brilliant and otherworldly colors of the Peacock Spider native to Australia, Get Yourself Dressed has quickly become very popular amongst Australian party goers who love the vibrant neon designs which also glow under black light.

As the North American festival season fast approaches, Get Yourself Dressed is perfect for fashion-savvy festival goers planning on attending events like Ultra’s Miami Music Week, Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, Burning Man, and many more.

Founder bio – Emma Baker:

Emma Baker is the founder and CEO of Get Yourself Dressed. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Baker is also an Associate Director with KPMG holding a Bachelor of Business from Canberra University. Despite having pursued a career in corporate consulting, Baker is also a passionate fashion designer who began sewing when she was 13. After finishing her business degree in 2004, she was accepted as one of only 50 students into RMIT’s prestigious fashion degree program. When a business opportunity to work in the UK presented itself, Baker moved to London after completing just her first year of fashion school. After returning to Australia, Baker spent 18 months working with disadvantaged youths at Yarra Youth teaching sewing and other creative projects. It was in 2013 that she attended the annual lifestyle and music event Rainbow Serpent Festival where she was blown away by the colorful and creativity community she encountered. Feeling inspired, she began making costumes and headpieces for her friends, frequently referencing the vibrant colors of the Peacock Spider native to Australia. In early 2017, Baker officially launched ‘Get Yourself Dressed’ with a collection encompassing playsuits, unisex leggings, bathing suits, sequined hot pants, fanny packs and more, using only original fabric designs. Managing all of the brand’s manufacturing, designing, sewing, and marketing, Baker has a proven skill set that spans both commercial and creative environments. Quickly establishing herself as a successful independent designer and business owner, Baker’s designs are loved by festival goers throughout Australia.
