Meet the Musician Behind Your Favorite Movie Soundtracks: Madsonik
Meet Madsonik, an extraordinarily ambitious producer who’s making his musical transition from movie scores to the stages. His project is anchored by powerful production, which led ESPN to choose his remix of Tom Morello and X Ambassadors “Collide” for their College Football Bowl Games Anthem this season. But that’s just the start of his work with Tom Morello.
The California-native recently released his remix of “Let It Show” by Skylar Stecker of Cherry Tree. His rendition of the original puts his knack for creating vivacious melodies and beats on full display. Much more is to be seen from the up and coming electronic producer as you’ll be finding his music in many major forthcoming motion pictures as well as the festival mainstages.
Known for his incredible musical abilities Brian Tyler, known by his moniker Madsonik, has already turned the heads of some of the biggest producers. The entertainment industry including film makers, television producers, and video game creators have also been quick to take notice. After receiving his masters at Harvard, Brian went on to pursue his passion for music. By this point, the classically-trained artist had already mastered over 30 instruments. Tyler’s talents enabled him to break into film industry, scoring for blockbusters such as Cinderella Man, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe , Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Star Trek, in addition to his 2006 soundtrack for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift that hit #1 on iTunes.
In 2014, Madsonik scored for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in which he wrote and produced “Shell Shocked,” a collaboration with Kill the Noise, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign, Juicy J and Moxie that hit #2 on the iTunes hip-hop singles charts and sold over half a million copies. That same year Madsonik received three Emmy nominations for his music in Sleepy Hollow, Last Call, and Transformers: Prime. Madsonik’s 2016 accomplishments include co-writing action thriller Criminal‘s theme song “Drift And Fall Again” with Lola Marsh. He was also behind the scores for Under the Gun and Now You See Me 2.
Believe it or not, 2017 will be the biggest year yet for Madsonik as he makes his cross-over debut from movie-scorer to headlining DJ/producer. With an assortment of projects and original releases lined up including his forthcoming collaboration with good friend Kill The Noise and Tom Morello, this year is going to be one for the books.
