Sofia Kourtesis

Embraced in communities from Tokyo to Lima, Peruvian and Greek producer, singer, pianst, songwriter, fashion designer, and DJ Sofia Kourtesis has been a staple of the world stage starting with her trans-atlantic education between New York and Hamburg. Beginning with the organization of university parties, Kourtesis began booking sought after local acts that would eventually stem into a gig booking some of Hamburg’s most renowned clubs including Prinzenbar, Docks and Große Freiheit 36. Her extensive involvement in the club scene would eventually pave the way for Kourtesis to get into the DJ booth herself.

After perfecting her craft behind the decks, Kourtesis cultivated her burgeoning talent for creating her own productions. Quickly gaining the attention of the world’s top tastemakers, Kourtesis found herself in high demand to perform at festivals like Melt, Dockville, Play Me, and Berghain. The ravishing Kourtesis also found herself at the beck and call of major fashion houses Levis, Filippa K, and Adidas, who all requested her as the in-house DJ for various events.

You may have also spotted Kourtesis at one of her many performances around the globe along side the likes of Kele Okereke, Gold Panda, Busy P, The Gossip, Sebastian, Kavinski, Luke Abbott, James Holden. Gold Panda even invited her to provide the vocals on his hit track ‘An English House.’


As a recent featured guest on Boiler Room and the in-demand DJ for major fashion houses LevisFilippa K, and Adidas, Sofia not only posses a passion for music but she combines it with the ambition to help others. This has inspired her ideas to organize charity events such as her current project, a festival in Peru for a Peruvian Health & Care House in Iquitos, Amazonas. This Health and Care & Culture House will be a platform for children and teenagers, who are exposed to diseases, domestic violence and prostitution. Already holding a quite impressive portfolio, this is only just the beginning for Kourtesis.

Sofia Kourtesis made her North American debut with the impressive ‘This Is It’ EP where she collaborated with Gold Panda on 2 tracks that garnered praise and support from outlets such as XLR8R and Fader.
