SiriusXM and YouTube today announced the launch of a new regular radio feature highlighting a trending deep house song based on YouTube viewership data. The “Chill Trending Track—Powered by YouTube” will air on SiriusXM’s Chill channel.

SiriusXM’s Chill channel has championed deep house music from across the world as YouTube has seen the genre grow in the last few years. Just like YouTube EDM 15, the weekly show on SiriusXM’s BPM channel that helped launch hit songs from Marshmello, San Holo, Party Favor and Rainman, the new feature on Chill will discover the next big acts in chillout music
Emma Jensen’s “Closer” will be the first song featured on SiriusXM’s “Chill Trending Track—Powered by YouTube.”
The new feature will launch on Friday, April 28 at 11:00 am ET via satellite on channel 53 and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at SiriusXM.
SiriusXM’s “Chill Trending Track—Powered by YouTube” is the latest example of the shared goal of SiriusXM and YouTube to support emerging new music from developing artists. Other shows include the YouTube 15 hosted by Jenna Marbles on SiriusXM Hits 1 and The YouTube EDM 15 hosted by Grammy Award winning EDM duo The Chainsmokers on SiriusXM’s BPM channel, as well as a weekly feature the “YouTube Country Spotlight” on SiriusXM’s The Highway channel.
SiriusXM Chill plays downtempo electronic and deep house. Listeners will hear Kygo, Duke Dumont, Moby, Robin Schulz and others. The channel broadcasts a weekly mix show, House of Chill, which features Felix Jaehn, Klingande, Thomas Jack and more special guest DJs spinning every week.
