Spotlight Love for k?d

‘Discover’ is a beautiful piece of art.

The appealing synth rifts add unique character to the track.

The music draws you in and the Sam Smith-like sound of RKCB is the bow on this gift.

#A. Re Approved

Following the smashing success of his remix for Annabel Jones, the emerging prodigy known simply as k?d is wasting no time between releases. “Discover”, a collaboration with noted vocalist/artist RKCB, is out now via tastemaker imprint PRMD music.

Highly-regarded as one of the most talented artists in the ever-evolving electronic music scene,
k?d’s first official label release is a perfect example of artistic chemistry in action. The pairing of these artists is a particularly dynamic one, as k?d manages to take his signature, intricate style and infuse it with RKCB’s breathtaking vocals to stunning effect.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a track that has a more dramatic and impactful beginning, as “Discover” leaps out at you from the start, grabbing your attention and pulling at your heartstrings from the first second you press play until its climactic ending.

It’s also worth to note that in addition to his contributions in the studio for this release,

k?d also drew the artwork by hand, as he does for all of his visual assets

– a true artist in multiple senses.

The Florida-based k?d is no stranger to the spotlight, having seen his official remix of Steve James “Renaissance” breach 2 Million Soundcloud streams and 700K plays via the Proximity channel on Youtube. He has since completed official remixes for electronic music royalty in Avicii and Afrojack, as well as charting #1 overall on HypeM and reaching 1 million plays in 20 days on his remix of Daft Punk’s “Doin It Right”. Equally impressive with his body of work is k?d’s collaborator RKCB, who has garnered over 16 million total combined streams on Spotify since October 2015 and six top-10 singles on SC’s “Most Played Tracks”. Previous releases like “Daydreaming” and “Baptize” have earned support in tastemkers outlets like Nylon and Pigeons & Planes, respectively.
