THUGLI Return w/ New Single “Cold Winter” feat. Bea Moon
The Toronto-based duo known as THUGLI return to the spotlight with their newest self-release, “Cold Winter,” featuring tantalizing vocalist Bea Moon.
“We wanted to make something that came with some raw emotion. We made the comparison of a cold/bitter relationship to the cold of winter. There are so many parallels between the two. It’s a bit of a step in a different direction for us sonically leaning less on the heavy, aggressive trap sound and exploring some new ideas. We were very fortunate to work on this one with the super talented Bea Moon on vocals and super proud of the record as a whole” – THUGLI
One of the first THUGLI tracks to feature a vocalist, “Cold Winter” shows off a depth to the pairing’s creative process that highlights the significant growth both Pat and Tom of THUGLI have experienced over the past few years. True Canadians to the core, they wanted to create a song that captured the essence of a true Canadian winter and took it upon themselves to experiment with sounds outside of their typical bass-heavy spectrum. Moon’s vocals glide effortlessly across a bed of intrictate synth-work for a club and radio ready tune, destined for dance floor destruction.
