Tigertown – “Papernote” (BØRNS x Tommy English Remix)
New remix out of Tigertown’s “Papernote.”
BØRNS sang a complete additional verse to the track, which is more of a ‘part 2’ of the song. But, you can check out the (BØRNS x Tommy English Remix) right here! Australia’s Tigertown will start their European tour opening for Panic! At The Disco in November and the Papernote EP is out now.
Sydney alt pop foursome Tigertown release their brand new single “Papernote” of their forthcoming EP of the same name, which arrives next month via Neon Gold / Atlantic Records ahead of a sold out European tour supporting Panic! At The Disco.
Tigertown will make you feel the kind of love you’d travel the world for. They’re a family band, an ecstatic quartet, all Australian sunshine and California heat: husband-and-wife duo Chris and Charlie Collins anchor the sound on lead guitar and vocals, and the Collins siblings, Elodie and Alexi, round out the recordings and live band on bass and keys.
Already boasting a dedicated following and Triple J support in their native Australia, 2016 finds them setting their sights on the international spotlight, touring the globe with the likes of Troye Sivan, St. Lucia and MS MR. Carrying on from the euphoric highs of their debut Lonely Cities EP and it’s wildfire single of the same name (7 million streams and counting), the band embarked on a series of globetrotting collaborations that helped to further crystallize the anthemic, jetsetting, Tigertown sound.
Nowhere is this more evident than forthcoming single “Papernote,” a pop supernova recorded across four continents, built around a two-bar loop from Zimbabwe guitar legend Oliver Mtukudzi that lays the foundation for a stadium-size melody that shimmers with contagious elation. Boasting production from Iceland’s Siggi with additional touches from LA hitmakers Captain Cuts (Walk The Moon, Halsey, Tove Lo), it’s as urgent as a valentine in neon lights, radiating affection that no listener can resist. Rounding out Papernote EP is “Take Me Away,” a crystalline shot of devotion produced by 18 year old Austrian wunderkind Filous and recorded during a week spent on the western coast of Nicaragua last winter, and the technicolor “What You Do”, recorded in the band’s Sydney studio and polished off under the LA sun by principal BØRNS collaborator Tommy English. The Papernote EP is out October 28th, with the band’s forthcoming full-length debut planned for early 2017.
